Submitting your feed to Shopping.com only takes a couple of
minutes once you have the details of the feed itself put together. The
best way to do this - and the way that we cover in the most detail below
- is to get your account set up and enter the details in the form
fields we discuss below and then follow the instructions discussed in Configuring a channel - Shopping.com
6. The settings for the datafeed file on the following screen will be
based on choices you make for your particualr configuration. Item number
5 requires a "Datafeed file url" which is covered in the Configuring a channel - Shopping.com page of this manual.
7. Paste in the datafeed file url (EndPoint) in the first field and
mark the radio selection to "Retrieve from my own FTP or HTTP location".
8. Click on the "Submit Datafeed" link. Match up the multiple items in
the "Your Datafeed File Columns" to the "Shopping.com Columns" using the
dropdowns.
9. Click the "Continue" button to save your changes.
10. Your Merchant Account Center changes can take up to 6 to 8 hours to
update and allow 24 hours for your inventory to appear/update on the
Shopping.com site.
Congratulations!
Configuring your new Shopping.com feed takes just a couple of
minutes. After you follow the steps below, make sure you also go
through the steps on this page to get your products submitted to Shopping.com!
Click on the Manage for the Shopping.com channel and select Configuration.
Copy and paste the entire Feed Endpoint file path and place it in a text file for reference later, when you are submitting your feed (see this page ) .
If the Store Endpoint and Access Key fields are empty, follow the directions in the image below;
Store Endpoint (required)
This field must contain your domain name in the format
https://www.mystorename.com/DotFeed.aspx, or
https://store.mydomain.net/DotFeed.aspx .
The point here is that you must include "https://" and you must
end with the extension "/DotFeed.aspx" (not case sensitive).
Access Key (required)
This should match the value you put in the DotFeed.AccessKey AppConfig
on your site while installing the DotFeed Connector - since you are
installing an additional channel, you should be copying the Access Key
from a previously installed channel.
Nickname (optional)
This will help you identify your store/channel as you invest in a
growing number of DotFeed Channels. Use any range of alphanumeric
characters, including spaces.
Once you have entered your values, click the Save Configuration
and then the Validate Endpoint button. You should see confirmation that
Validation was successful.
