Configuring a channel - Amazon Product Ads

Creating an Amazon Product Ads Account

  1. Go to Amazon Product Ads to log in or to register a new account.

  2. Select Inventory from the main dashboard and go to Upload Products & Inventory.

  3. Select Upload Inventory Files and in the drop-down menu, choose FTP Setting

  4. Make sure to write down your FTP login credentialsto use in your DotFeed Account.

Setting up Channel Connections

  1. Log in to your DotFeed Account using the same account information you created in order to purchase DotFeed.

  2. Select the Feeds tab and click Manage and then select Configuration. For an Amazon Channel, you'll need to define FIVE fields, which are described below:

    • Store Endpoint (critical) is your store domain in this format: https://www.mystorename.com/DotFeed.aspx or https://store.mydomain.net/DotFeed.aspx .
      The point here is that you must include "https://" and you must end with the extension "/dotfeed.aspx" (case insensitive)

    • Access Key should match the value you created and entered in the DotFeed.AccessKey AppConfig in the Admin Console while installing the DotFeed Connector.
    • Nickname (optional) identifies this channel and store. Use any range of alphanumeric characters, including spaces.

  3. Once you have entered values, click Save Configuration.
  4. Wait 12 - 24 hours to click the Validate Endpoint button to allow DotFeed to access your store and build the first feed. If your feed was successfully setup, you'll receive this message:

  5. Do not Preview Results until you have completed setting up your mapping rules.

Amazon Data Dictionary

Review Amazon's Data Dictionary to make sure that the fields populated in your storefront will tranfer appropriately to Amazon. Also visit Amazon Hints & Tips
